Scope of Work

Sedgman Prudentia worked closely with the Technology Provider to integrate the new process into a commercial flowsheet, beginning with the development of process documentation such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and vendor packages. A pilot plant was designed, built, and operated to validate key unit operations—most critically, the crystallisation circuit—allowing for generation of representative product for third-party testing. In parallel with piloting, a full feasibility study was completed, including equipment sizing, procurement engagement, and the development of a DFS-level capital cost estimate. Following a strategic decision to relocate the project from Perth to Thailand, Sedgman Prudentia identified and collaborated with a local engineering, procurement, construction and management (EPCM) partner to prepare the project for execution in a more favourable logistical and economic environment.

The project successfully transitioned from laboratory-scale concept to a fully engineered commercial plant design. Piloting provided critical design data, enabling confident scale-up and validation of process performance. The relocation to Thailand significantly improved the commercial viability of the project by reducing logistical costs and simplifying supply chains. Sedgman Prudentia’s early engagement, process integration expertise, and hands-on pilot operations ensured a robust and cost-effective pathway to project execution.
