Gold Slimes Treatment Debottlenecking

The project involved detailed assessment of the gold circuit to identify key bottlenecks, with a focus on optimising filtration performance. This included the selection and sizing of a new filter unit sourced from the United States, and full package management to ensure timely delivery. Key plant modifications were designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure, with strategic decisions made around filter location, modularisation, and cut-over approach to minimise downtime. The circuit upgrade was executed under tight constraints, including a restricted water balance and the need for continuous operation during installation. Sedgman Prudentia led all aspects of the commissioning and supported construction to ensure a smooth transition to the upgraded configuration.

The project was successfully delivered ahead of schedule, achieving the stretch target for delivery and enabling early commissioning. Through proactive engagement with the client and project stakeholders, the focus of the project evolved from minimising capital expenditure to maximising delivery speed and operational recovery. The upgraded circuit has delivered significant value through increased throughput and gold recovery, with minimal disruption to plant operations.
