Nevada Copper is a new entrant into the United States Copper production market with an initial underground facility to produce 5000 short tons per day. Sedgman have been contracted to provide surface infrastructure and a copper concentrator plant to allow the mine to go into production by the end of 2019.
Nevada Copper sought a partner to assist the process of bringing this entirely new facility to a fixed budget and schedule, and selected Sedgman on the basis of their global reputation for delivery. Sedgman provided key assistance in developing the development case through the Vancouver offer, and have since moved into full design, procurement and installation for the new miner.
Together, the underground facilities successful delivery will establish Nevada Copper as a sustainable business in North America and unlock further oportunities for Sedgman in the North American market.
