Supporting local communities

We contribute to the communities in which we live and work by partnering with local organisations whose missions align with our community engagement vision. Our focus is on sponsoring valuable contributions in the areas of community health and wellbeing, education & investing in future workforce diversity, and Indigenous and local engagement in the workforce.

We are supporting our local communities by providing our staff paid time to volunteer in their local communities.

Young Indigenous and Australian Art and Literacy Foundation Bowern Basic Operations sites

Our operations sites in the Bowen Basin have pooled their community investments this year to support five local schools to participate in the Young Australian and Indigenous Art and Literacy program, run by the Children’s Charity Network. The program includes indigenous authors and artists visiting the schools once a term, teaching children the techniques and skills to bring their imaginations to life using art, and to convert ideas and thought into written language.
