Sustainability

We are committed to delivering our services in a way that contributes to the positive long-term outcomes for the regions in which we operate. For us, sustainability means integrating environmental, social, and governance factors into our decision making, contributing to safe and healthy employees, communities, ecosystems and maximising shareholder value.

Environment

Sedgman implements industry best practice and environmental management standards to minimise the impact associated with engineering projects and operations. We are proud of our certification to the ISO14001 environmental management standard for our projects from concept through to commissioning.

We are focused on innovating and implementing fit-for-purpose solutions to support our clients in initiatives such as reducing water usage, tailings reprocessing, removing the requirement for new tailings dams, and designing for efficient energy use.

At the Alcoa Kwinana refinery we installed the largest plate and frame filters in the world to defer the need to construct new drying areas, and the associated environmental impacts.

Social Responsibility

We contribute to the communities in which we live and work by partnering with local organisations whose missions align with our community engagement vision. Our focus is on sponsoring valuable contributions in the areas of community health and wellbeing, education & investing in future workforce diversity, and Indigenous and local engagement in the workforce.

Valuing Diversity. Supporting Communities.  Investing in our Future.
